Thanks to the terrible farming practices that are taking place in modern society, today’s food is covered in chemicals it is nutrient deficient and it is genetically modified. To make things worse to combat all the foods toxicity and the modern stressful lifestyle you need extra micro nutrients.
So most people will seek multivitamin pills or some other sort of synthetic vitamin or mineral supplements. The problem there is that most of the commercially available pills on the market are synthetic vitamins or minerals and do not absorb very well.
On top of that they are full of fillers, many of which are toxic to the human body. In fact it has recently been revealed that one of the more popular brands centrum is not very beneficial to your body it is actually very toxic.
It is one of the biggest sellers in the ‘health food industry’ (yeah I had to put that in quotes). What I find weird is that it contains artificial colors which are carcinogens! Why would the appearance of the pill even matter especially if said colors are actually very harmful.
Naive people think they are doing something good for their health when they are actually doing quite the opposite. They also contain preservatives, another carcinogen. This may be the tinfoil hat coming out but centrum is made by Pfizer – one of the biggest pharmaceutical companies in the world, a company who profits of people being sick.
So What Can You Do To Maximize Your Nutrient Intake
There are multivitamin companies that make good quality supplements, obviously you should do your due diligence. But what I personally recommend is that you first eat organic whenever you can – start a vegetable garden or shop at a farmers market.
Other options are to either get a good quality juicer and reap the benefits of a large quantity of vegetables all at once. This is a good option to get a lot of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants from a natural source that will absorb well into your body.
My personal favorite option is to get a quality high powered blender and blend together fruits vegetables and super foods. You are not taking in large amounts of vegetables like you would when you drink a vegetable juice but you can have raw vegetables, that way they are not losing nutrients when they are heated.
On top of that you can add super foods such as spirulina powder, hemp seed powder or chia seeds for example. Spirulina powder alone is very nutritious, some claim that is so nutritious that you could survive by consuming spirulina alone.
Chia seeds are an excellent source of nutrition, high in vitamin C and omega 3 just to name a few of the many nutrients.
Hemp seeds are not only nutritious but they are also a good source of protein.

You can drink a vegetable juice – a great option but can get a bit pricey and is not overly tasty as well as a bit of a mess to clean up.
